Peter and Stephanie were married at St.Josephs Nudgee Chapel on Saturday the 7th of November. Their reception followed at the Sirromet Winery.

The Huon News asked if I could photograph the cover shot for their annual Christmas calender. A promise of a maccas dinner and play down on the beach is all it took to rope in my four boys and one from next door to dress up in elves and santa outfits.

Meet Peter and Stephanie from Morella Station in North Queensland. I bumped into them in Brisbane City recently and they kindly let me take a couple of pics of them.

Meet Leo and Leila, my parents. I have had the pleasure of staying with my parents whilst travelling back to photograph in Brisbane many a time this year. I'm really going to miss hanging out with you guys at 'Hotel Halloran' and thanks Josh, you were a great assistant on the shoot!

My mate Veebee came and visited from Devonport today with his daughter Jayden. Jayden 'insisted' I take a few shots of her in her new dress she had just purchased from Hobart.

Terry and Anthea were married on Saturday the 17th of October in The Gardens at The Stamford Plaza in Brisbane. Their reception followed in The Marquee at The Stamford Plaza.

Wedding photographer, it'd have to be one of the best jobs in the world!

I could easily spend a lifetime photographing the inherent beauty of this island state called Tasmania. While on the road with my family the car often comes to a sudden halt as I scramble out the door to grab a shot. Here is a few not so touristy images from a recent trip.

Maria Leslie and Rudolf were married on the 27th of September at the Albert River Winery in South East Queensland. It was an honour to be able to document this amazing day, as Rudolf is the brother of Andy and Sasha whose weddings I have photographed recently as well.

Justin & Ara were married at Glengariff Historic Estate on the 1st of August 2009.

In December 2006 Tom and Ana were married in Brisbane. They are expecting their first child in two months and wanted some photos to remember this time whilst waiting the arrival of their first born child. Having earlier this year moved to Cairns for work they were keen to come to Tassie to cool off for a bit and enjoy a well earned holiday. In cold and drizzly conditions we went down to the waters of the mighty Huon River for some photos.

On a recent visit to Brisbane I caught up with Terry and Anthea at New Farm Park with their dog Molly. I had met Anthea about three and a half years ago when I took their family portaits. Anthea's mum Coral rung me several months ago to see if I was available to fly back to 'the mainland' to photograph her daughter's wedding, an offer I definitely couldn't refuse. Terry and Anthea will wed on the 17th of October 2009 at the Stamford Plaza Hotel in Brisbane.

Murray and Kristy were recently married in the Broadway Chapel at Woolloongabba. Their reception followed in the River Canteen at Southbank.

Yep, we did the touristy thing and went to Port Arthur and were blown away by it's beauty and history. My oldest son Jordan snapped away with his camera all day long. Watch out for the picture postcard collection he'll be releasing shortly!

I visited an amazing place called Port Arthur with Iris and the boys recently. On the way home we stopped for a cup of tea and I went for a walk along some seaside cliffs. My cup of tea went cold whilst waiting for a bird to fly into this scene!

I recently had the privilege of doing my first commissioned portrait shoot in Tasmania. I had a ball chasing Jacob and Zachary up and down the beach at Blackmans Bay.

Last week we had a bit of a cold snap here in the Huon Valley. The mountains we see from our home had some good snow falls. I set out with my camera one afternoon to try capture an image showing the amazing autumn colours as well as the snow on the mountains. Two days after taking this shot the snow had melted and the leaves had started falling off the trees. Sleeping Beauty is the mountain you see in the background.

No need for mobile phones here in Tassie, phone booths can be found in pretty much any paddock!

There is a small shack just down the road from our place. One afternoon there happened to be this amazing light in the valley being created by a bush fire in the western sky. I raced home to grab my camera and managed to capture this amazing autumn scene with the suns rays creating a beautiful back-lighting on the aspen trees.

I caught up with Justin and Ara recently at the Brisbane Powerhouse for a shoot. They are getting married soon on the 1st of August. Can't wait guys!

Rudolf and Leslie will be getting married on the 27th of September this year. I had the pleasure of meeting Leslie for the first time when I arrived back in Brisbane to photograph them. It will be an honour to be at their wedding as I have already photographed both of Rudolf's brothers weddings.

Andrew and Kristina were married at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Springwood on the 5th of April 2009 followed by a fabulous reception at the Radisson Golf Resort on the Gold Coast.

Andrew and Sarah exchanged their vows at the Baptist City Tabernacle on the 4th April 2009. Their reception followed at the Greek Club.

Josh & Peta were married at Glengariff Historic Estate on Sunday the 22nd of February 2009.

Scott and Debbie-Lee were married at Kalbar Christian Church near Boonah on Saturday the 21st February 2009. Their reception followed at the Vue Restaurant in Boonah.

Andrew and Jennifer were married at the Glengariff Historic Estate on Friday 23rd of January.

Daniel & Sarah were married on the 2nd of January 2009 at the Laguna at Sirromet Winery. Drinks and platters were enjoyed at the cellar door followed by a formal reception in the restaurant

Hi Everyone,

We have some exciting news.

We are relocating to Tasmania, for a sea change or is it a tree change. We have decided to slow down for a while and watch our children grow up (as well as our apple trees, and Jon’s potatoes).

Even though all our family is here in Brisbane and our photography studio is going better than ever we have decided this is an opportune time to try something ‘different.’

Due to demand, Jon will continue photographing weddings in Brisbane next year, so please continue referring us as Jon has withdrawal symptoms if his camera sits in the bag for more than a day without use!

You still will be able to contact us on Jon’s mobile or via our current email addresses; we would love to hear from you.

Check out our blog in the near future as we will post photos of our beautiful home in the Huon Valley.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a blessed new year.

All the best,

Jon, Iris and the boys.

David & Rebecca

David is Anita's brother (Anita works with us in the studio). David & Rebecca exchanged vows at the beautiful Cedar Creek Winery Estate & held their reception at the Eagle Heights Resort on the 29th of November.

Richard & Kristy

Richard & Kristy were married on the 25th of October at Boulevard Gardens & held their reception at Boulevard Gardens also.
