Last week we had a bit of a cold snap here in the Huon Valley. The mountains we see from our home had some good snow falls. I set out with my camera one afternoon to try capture an image showing the amazing autumn colours as well as the snow on the mountains. Two days after taking this shot the snow had melted and the leaves had started falling off the trees. Sleeping Beauty is the mountain you see in the background.
There is a small shack just down the road from our place. One afternoon there happened to be this amazing light in the valley being created by a bush fire in the western sky. I raced home to grab my camera and managed to capture this amazing autumn scene with the suns rays creating a beautiful back-lighting on the aspen trees.

We have some exciting news.
We are relocating to Tasmania, for a sea change or is it a tree change. We have decided to slow down for a while and watch our children grow up (as well as our apple trees, and Jon’s potatoes).
Even though all our family is here in Brisbane and our photography studio is going better than ever we have decided this is an opportune time to try something ‘different.’
Due to demand, Jon will continue photographing weddings in Brisbane next year, so please continue referring us as Jon has withdrawal symptoms if his camera sits in the bag for more than a day without use!
You still will be able to contact us on Jon’s mobile or via our current email addresses; we would love to hear from you.
Check out our blog in the near future as we will post photos of our beautiful home in the Huon Valley.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a blessed new year.
All the best,
Jon, Iris and the boys.
